Rocket Project
Rocket project reflectionI think the rocket exhibition went well for our group. Our parachute did not deploy because the strings were tangled inside the nose cone. If we could go back and change one thing about our rocket I would change the size of our parachute to make it bigger and I would use fishing line instead of yarn as the strings of the parachute. I would tell future builders to not waste any time so they're not rushing to get done at the last minute.
Rocket logDay 3. Glued the rocket together.
Day 4. Attached the nose cone to the rocket. Day 5. Making the fins and making the parachute. Day 6. Attached the parachute to the rocket and gluing the fins to the rocket Day 7. Launch the rocket for the first time Day 8. finished. |
Data Table
Conclusion
Our max angle at launch was 67 degrees. We observed the launch from about 53 meters away, and the actual hang time was 7.24 S. Our rocket reached a maximum height of 124.84 meters or 412.3 feet. Our average actual velocity for the total trip is 34.48. The percent in error calculation in the rockets flight time was 49.26%. The percent of error was low because our parachute only partially deployed so there was less friction when it was free falling.
